Everton 'She Inspires' programme ran a fun day 7.6.24 at Liverpool County FC in Thornton and our Year 8 girls had the privilege to be invited to take part, after completing the programme earlier on in the year.

Today's event was in conjunction as always with Merseyside Police. Today we were treated to a guest speaker, Liverpool and England Women's footballer, Natasha Dowie, who answered questions from all the girls and helped to inspire them to be who they were and follow their dreams of becoming involved in the football industry.

Food was prepared by Rapid Response team, which was delicious and the girls were allowed to interact with the police horses, try on fire service uniform/equipment, ride in police cars, explore ambulances and access other activities such as VR headset, activities in cyber crime and freud and boxing just to name a few. It was a fantastic day and all the girls all represented Alsop High School in the most respectful and well behaved manner. It was pleasure to spend the day with them.

Thank you to Heidi Lindop, Kallie-Ann Smith, Porscha-Mae Fairclough, Emilia Petrinica, Phoebe Howell and Mia Nelson.

Thank you to Mr Van Gordon for taking the time to drive us to the event and collect us, very much appreciated.
