Alsop students speak about Remembrance on BBC news
Alsop High School was featured on BBC North West Tonight commemoration for Armistice Day. The students spoke eloquently about the Walton Pals and led prayers at the base of the Saxon cross in Walton Church.
The footage was taken from the film created for classroom based Collective Worship to enable young people to commemorate Armistice Day. The film is online to for schools to use.

Rev Fiona Pennie, Interim Priest, at Walton Parish Church comments: “It was great privilege to welcome students from Alsop to St Marys. We are delighted these young people were able to recall the tale of the Walton Pals, who joined up together and died on the Western Front in France.”
Mr Peter Bull , Head of RE writes: “This film is so poignant and moving. Our students have achieved something wonderful to be shared with schools across Liverpool and beyond.”
