On Friday 8th March, Alsop’s year 8 girls took part in Everton In the Community ‘She Inspires’ programme. Our year 8s went along to Liverpool County FC and participated in a tournament against other schools. The matches were being refereed by police officers. There were 260 girls who participated and 19 schools across Merseyside.

Unfortunately, Alsop did not win the tournament shield, but they girls were brilliant in showcasing the skills they learnt from taking part in the programme. They had a lovely day out with some delicious lunch provided, and some girls enjoyed exploring the fire engines!!!

This is the first year we have participated in this programme, so hopefully next year we will have a full team of Alsop girls to give the other schools a run for their money!!!
